Cambodian Journalists Alliance (CamboJA) is currently looking for a passionate, detail-oriented Finance Officer to handle financial procedures in our office.

Position Finance Officer
Report to Executive Director
Manages None
Status of Contract Full-time

Job Summary

Finance Officer must manage the financial status of CamboJA, control cash flow in hand and in bank, provide financial reports and manage financial documents.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities Duties
Manage and implement all kinds of financial status in CamboJA –  Record incomes, expenses statements
–  Manage financial and cash flows and all financial
transactions
–  Manage financial documents in office and keep it in a secure
manner
–  Control cash flow in hand
–  Control cash flows in bank
–  Provide instruction or financial procedure to all operations in
order to ensure that financial managements are transparent,
efficient, and accountable with all stakeholders
–  Prepare financial procedures for CamboJA
Manage financial reports –  Provide monthly and annual financial reports
–  Provide financial reports to donors in consultation with and if
required by supervisor
Other tasks –  Participate in any meeting, workshop, or capacity building activities
–  Other duties if requested by supervisor

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fields, higher degree preferred
  • At least 2-year successful working experience in accounting field, especially with non- governmental organizations
  • Previous experience in managing a financial unit
  • Good computer literacy across MS Office programs and QuickBooks or equivalent
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
  • Ability to work both independently and in team
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Work flexibly and able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to keep highly organized and accurate financial records
  • Ability to prepare management accounts
  • Ability to prepare budget, funding bids and grant reporting
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality (finance information)
  • Being a passionate and energetic team member with a genuine interest in working to develop independent and professional media, promote human rights and democratic governance
