Unions and civil society groups are urging the government to prioritize garment workers for a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine as the highly contagious Delta variant continues to spread.

Health ministry calls on private sector to carry out frequent rapid tests

Cambodia’s Health Ministry has instructed all state institutions, private companies, factories and other organizations to frequently carry out rapid tests for all staff and employees as the country continues to record hundreds of new cases every day. The announcement did not provide a specific definition of what constitutes an organization.

“I’m worried that I don’t have antibodies,” she told CamboJA, sharing her concerns that a lack of side effects of the inoculations could mean her body hasn’t produced a defence response. “If I have symptoms like fever, I am sure that there is a drug working in my body.”
