4:30 pm As of 7 A.M on December 12, 11 Cambodian civilians have died and 76 injured since the fighting started on December 7, 2025, according to the Ministry of Interior.

12:20 pm: South Korea has on Thursday called on Cambodia and Thailand to resolve the conflict peacefully soon via dialogue in accordance with the joint declaration signed on October 26 as well as   international laws. 

The spokesperson for South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed concern over the recent military conflict and rising tensions, read the statement.

South Korea also expressed sympathy for the victims and conveyed their condolences to the families of Cambodian and Thai victims of the renewed border conflict. 

Thai forces continued firing on Cambodia’s sovereign territory on the morning of December 12, 2025, according to National Defense Ministry spokesperson Maly Socheata. The attacks are persisting despite the dissolution of the Thai Parliament. 

The Thai military began firing artillery and mortars at Ta Moan Temple, Ta Krabey Temple, An Ses area, O’Phka Sne, Thvea Dek, Phnom 500, and Phnom Pong Chap in Oddar Meanchey province at 12:15 a.m.

As of 12 p.m. on December 11,​ a total of 65,314 families or 226,997 people from Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Pursat and Koh Kong provinces have been displaced since renewed fighting erupted on December 7, the Ministry of Interior said.

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport said 909 schools in six provinces and 20 cities along the Cambodian-Thai border have closed, as of December 11, affecting 7,601 teachers and 216,107 students.

Meanwhile, the Thai King issued a royal gazette on Friday morning announcing the dissolution of the Thai parliament which paves the way for a general election to be held in the next 45 to 60 days, according to Thai local news.
